Plugins

Plugins are external pieces of code (shared libraries loaded at startup) that extend happyDomain’s functionality without recompiling the server. An operator simply drops a .so file into a configured directory, and happyDomain picks it up automatically on the next start.

This requires a plugin-capable build of happyDomain: the default binaries and container image are statically compiled and silently ignore plugin directories. Look for a binary or a container tag suffixed with -cgo, available on the platforms where Go supports plugins (Linux, and a few others).
